Loft Boarding & Loft Ladders

For home-owners it makes sense to utilise the environment after having H2 Foam Lite loft insulation installed between the rafters. For this reason, Energy Ease Ltd decided to add this service to the portfolio. Being able to walk around the loft space where the environment is the same as any other room in the house is an attractive proposition for anyone.

Typically we would raise the floor slightly to cover electrical wiring and similar obstructions. 

Please note: if the area is to remain as a loft for storage purposes then the loft insulation between the rafters can be left exposed however; if the loft is to be used as a habitable space then boarding over the top of the loft insulation is recommended.

We can also provide a loft ladder for ease of entry to the loft.

Normally we use the Youngman Easiway 2 or 3 sectional aluminium ladder. 

It has a compact design that requires less storage in the loft, also a solid handrail that can be assembled on either side for safety.

It has a pivot arm for smooth gliding when lowering and stowing the ladder, it doesn't move from side to side like some ladders.

Also, it's possible to alter an existing push-up loft hatch to swing down on hinges, a bar will be supplied for opening the hatch and retrieving the ladder without the need for steps.
